Insufficient Light
Insufficient light can make rose leaves yellow. You can ask me the question- “How does it happen?” Well. You can do a little experiment yourself. Take a brick and place it over where there are green grasses in your garden. Make sure these grasses get enough sunlight. After putting the brick on the area of grass, allow it to sit for a day or two. Now, remove the brick and see. All you can see is just yellow grass.
In the same way, when the lower leaves do not get enough sunlight because the upper leaves do not allow the sunlight to fall on them. When it continues for days, these lower leaves become yellow and sometimes drop off. If you can find ways to light on the lower leaves, they will not turn yellow and fall off.
Water
Water is essential for any living elements on earth to live and to grow properly. If you do not water your plant regularly and sufficiently, your plants will die slowly but surely. I repeat sufficient water is needed for the rose plants. But what if water remains for days at the base of rose plants?
When water remains for days and sunlight falls on it, this water becomes hot and up onto the lower foliage of rose plants. Thus the lower leaves of rose become yellow and fall off. You must water your rose plants, but you have to keep an eye that it is not soaking the base wet. So, be wise and make sure the soil is not too moist.
Too much fertilizer
You know that plants need manure for their proper growth. You have to use granular fertilizer for your rose plants as well. One important thing you have to keep in mind is that excessive use of fertilizer can be a cause of your roses’ yellow leaves. Determine before fertilizing how much you need to use. If you can give a proper amount of fertilizer in your rose garden or bush, you are sure to experience an impressive growth of them.
Nutrient deficiency
You take time and make sure whether the yellow leaves of your roses are the reason for nutrient deficiency or not. If you can determine properly, you can treat it. Otherwise, your stress will grow more than before. Nutrients like nitrogen, magnesium, and iron play a pivotal role in growing and make the leaves green.
If you can manage to understand the cause of the yellow leaves of your roses and if it is for nutrient deficiency, proper treatment can turn these yellow leaves green again. So, think before you leap!
