It does not matter if you are a teenager or you have just turned fifty; it is crucial to have a fit body. That is why I have provided tips on how to use fitness to achieve peak health.
I have divided today’s blog into three suitable categories where you can look for a set of fitness tips for your age. Check out what kind of exercises are being described and what measures you should take to be fit.
1. Age Group: 20s – 30s
These are the fitness tips you should be following if you are anywhere in your early 20s to late 30s:
1. Nutritious Diet
During our childhood and teenage years, we eat different types of junk food since, at that stage of life, being healthy is irrelevant.
Still, once you approach your 20s, you should start transitioning slowly toward consuming a healthier diet. This can be done by taking many servings of nutrient-dense foods, proteins, and healthy fats.
It shall also provide your body with the right nutrients that will enable your body to be energetic throughout the day.
2. Try Out Different Exercises
To start with, consider engaging in several exercises, which comprise lifting weights, cardio, strength building, running, and dancing.
Also, try to figure out which workouts put less pressure on your body but are practical so you can continue with those throughout the later stages of life.
3. Build A Fitness Routine
Most of you will be busy with studies, work, and managing multiple responsibilities at this age. But try to build a fitness routine which you can fit into your daily schedule. Trust me, once you get into this routine, exercise will become a habit for the rest of your life.
Since I’m super busy on weekdays, I go for morning walks and do a high-intensity 15-minute workout session before bed. But on Sundays, I have made a fitness routine that includes strength training, yoga, and cardio.
2. Age Group: 40s -50s
Now that you are middle-aged or older, it’s time to start taking things a bit slow because you want to avoid ending up with injuries.
1. Personal Trainer
By the time you reach your 40s and gradually step into your 50s, it’s pretty obvious that you are likely to have medical issues. These could be muscle pains, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
This is why you should work with a personal trainer who can guide you through a proper fitness routine according to your age and the condition of your health.
2. Low Impact Activities
If you cannot get help from a personal trainer, then first, you should avoid doing high-impact exercises. Some of the activities that are involved include swimming, jogging, swimming and balance training.
These exercises will assist in achieving better muscle bulk and slightly improved joint stability.
3. Rest Days
At this age, there is absolutely no need to exercise every day for long periods. You can take one or two days off and rest at home to let your body recover.
After all, you don’t want your body to suffer any kind of major injury that will cause you to suffer.
3. Age Group: 60 And Above
Once we reach 60, our bodies tend to slow down and become more prone to injuries. Hence, these three tips will help older people to maintain fitness and stay healthy.
1. Healthy Eating
It is also important to work towards reducing those processed products so that you can embrace healthy eating. For instance, instead of taking apple juice each day, you can take the fresh apple equivalent of that in 3 days.
Eat foods that are high in fiber because they help to lower cholesterol levels, prevent constipation and colon cancer. Lastly, water is taken, which will keep the body hydrated.
2. Exercise
For physical activity, use the body for 30 minutes daily. Perhaps you could attempt a fifteen-minute walk in the morning and another fifteen minutes in the evening. Avoid putting much pressure on your body. If you wish not to walk, you could go and do some gardening or yoga, which will not only make you relaxed but also maintain your fitness.
3. Workout Partner
Try to find others in your neighbourhood to join you for walks. This will also motivate you to exercise as you will get to go outside to see and chat with your fitness buddies.
